Rebuild the sound for our muted clip using the Krotos Studio 3.0 SFX library, send us your version, and you could win a year of Krotos Studio Pro. Please read these terms before taking part.
This challenge is run by Krotos Audio Ltd, 9 Haymarket Square, Edinburgh EH3 8RY, United Kingdom ("Krotos", "we", "us").
The challenge is free to enter and open to anyone aged 18 or over. Entrants are responsible for checking that prize promotions are permitted in their country. The promotion is void where prohibited by law. Krotos employees and their immediate families can't take part.

If you're new to the Krotos mailing list, our welcome email includes a code for free Krotos Studio Pro until 26 November 2026, so you can make your entry. If you're already on our mailing list, you can still enter, but the free Pro code isn't included. The code is for your use only.
Submit your entry using the Silent Cut entry form by 23:59 (UK time) on 26 November 2026, including:
Entries missing any of these, or received after the closing time, won't be judged.
Your video link must stay viewable until we announce the winner. We can't judge entries we can't open.
One entry per person and per email address.
Entries will be judged by the Krotos team on originality of the idea, how well Krotos Studio is used, the breadth of sound effects used, and how well the sound integrates with the picture. The judges' decision is final. There is one winner, who gets 12 months of Krotos Studio Pro and their entry featured on Krotos channels. If the winner already has a paid Krotos Studio Pro subscription, we'll extend it by 12 months at no extra cost. We'll announce the winner by 4 December 2026 and contact them by email. If the winner doesn't reply within 14 days, the prize passes to the runner-up. The prize is non-transferable and has no cash alternative.
Free Pro access for new sign-ups ends on 26 November 2026. The winner's 12 months of Pro starts on the day we add it to their account. If you want to keep Pro after either period ends, you can subscribe at the standard price from your Krotos Studio account page.
The free Pro code and the prize can't be used with any other Krotos offer, discount or promotion.
The muted clip belongs to Krotos, and you may only use it to enter this challenge. You keep ownership of your sound design. By entering and ticking the permission box on the entry form, you allow Krotos to share your entry on its channels, credited to your Instagram handle, including in a compilation reel of entries. Your entry must not contain offensive, defamatory or unlawful content, or infringe anyone else's rights, and you confirm you have the rights to any sounds or music you add that don't come from Krotos Studio.
We may disqualify an entry that doesn't meet these terms or isn't the entrant's own work. We may change or cancel the challenge if circumstances outside our control make this necessary, and we'll post any changes on this page.
We'll use the details you send us to run the challenge, in line with our privacy policy. Signing up for the clip also adds you to the Krotos mailing list, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
