Is the Krotos Resolve panel Generative AI?+
No. Our use of AI is assistive, not generative. We use real, high-quality recordings made by professional sound designers, and AI only decides which sound effects to choose, combine and place on your Resolve timeline. Nothing is synthesised.
Do you train on my video?+
No. Your footage is never used for training. We analyse the frames only to pick matching sounds, and the analysis is discarded afterwards.
Is this a replacement for professional sound designers?+
No. It gives editors a fast first sound pass inside Resolve. Professional sound design still needs professional sound designers.
How does it work in DaVinci Resolve?+
Install the plugin, then in Resolve open Workspace > Scripts > Krotos. Dock the panel next to your Edit or Cut page timeline. Mark an in/out range (I and O), pick the elements you want, and hit Analyse & Render, and the clips land on a new track, perfectly in sync.
Which Resolve versions and pages are supported?+
DaVinci Resolve 19 and 20 on macOS and Windows, both Studio and the free version. The panel works on the Cut, Edit and Fairlight pages.
How much video can I analyse?+
Each analysed region counts as one analysis. Free accounts get 5 analyses; Studio 50/month; Pro 100/month; Max 200/month. Allowances refresh monthly.
Where are downloaded assets stored?+
Assets live in a persistent Krotos folder inside your Documents directory by default, and can be relocated from the plugin's Settings menu. They are added to your Resolve Media Pool as they render.
What are the minimum system requirements?+
DaVinci Resolve 19.0 or above, macOS 12+ or Windows 10+, and an internet connection for analysis. Both the free version and Studio are supported.
