Geothermal, Liquid and Doors is the July content drop for Krotos Studio. It adds eleven performable presets across three areas: geothermal and elemental forces, liquid and weather, and mechanical doors. It is live now in the Library view for all Krotos Studio and Krotos Studio Pro subscribers.

What's included

Doors and mechanisms

Dungeon Door, Vault Door, Prison Door, Revolving Door, Stone Door. Five mechanisms covering everything from a light hinge to a full stone grind, built for interactive and environmental work where the mechanism needs to feel physical.

Geothermal and elemental

Geo Thermal Movement, Eruption, Chemical Reaction. Deep earth movement, the violent release of an eruption, and the corrosive bubble that sits under a lab scene.

Liquid and weather

Whirlpool, Hail, Snow Handling. Fluid texture and weather you drive by hand rather than lay underneath everything.

How the presets work

Every preset in the pack is performable in real time. You load one, hit record, and move the XY pads while the sound plays. The recording captures what you played, so moving differently gives you a different take from the same preset.

That matters when a scene needs the same source more than once. Play Vault Door five times and you get five takes, recognisably the same door, none of them identical, without pitch-shifting a file or layering a second creak underneath to disguise the repeat.

The presets are mixed and finished, so they go into the timeline as they are.
