Krotos Studio October 2023 Sound Effect Presets Update

Krotos Studio 1.8 Introduces AI Foley Engine & DaVinci Resolve Plugin

October 2023 brings the 1.8 update to Krotos Studio, introducing 37 brand new AI-powered sound effect presets to explore and use in your projects.

We have also included full DaVinci Resolve support, making your workflow faster and more efficient than ever before. Learn more about this update below!

Full DaVinci Resolve Support

Krotos Studio is now fully supported directly within Da Vinci Resolve as an instrument plugin.

Launch the Krotos Studio plugin from the Fairlight tab in DaVinci Resolve, and the plugin will run in synchronisation with your video timeline, making the synchronisation of the sounds much faster and easier.

Using the plugin in DaVinci Resolve means that the sounds can be recorded directly to the timeline, offering a huge advantage to your workflow that is faster, easier and more efficient. Synchronisation is easier, and recording multiple passes of effects is faster. You no longer need to drag and drop the sounds into the editor from the standalone version of the plugin.

Note: You must be using DaVinci Resolve 18.6 to use the Krotos Studio plugin

AI Foley Engine

The AI capabilities in Krotos Studio offer an incredible new way to create sound effects. The resulting sounds are more realistic, authentic and nuanced, providing control over incredibly delicate sound gestures.

How to Update Krotos Studio Through the Plugin

1. Launch Krotos Studio.
2. When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to update to the new version.
3. If you don't see the update notification, go to “Check For Updates'' from the menu within the application.
4. Click "Download and Run the Installer".

How to Access the October Content

1. Launch Krotos Studio and click the library icon in the software.
2. Click on the download icon next to Octoberscontent and wait for it to complete.
3. After downloading, the new sounds will automatically be added to the Krotos Studio library.
